Yes, new users receive a complimentary credit balance upon signing up. This allows you to translate a few pages or a small document to experience our service and layout preservation capabilities before committing to a purchase.
Layout & Quality
Our primary goal is to preserve your PDF's original layout as closely as possible. We use advanced AI to analyze and replicate the structure, including fonts, spacing, tables, and images. While we achieve high accuracy for many documents, very complex layouts or non-standard PDF structures can sometimes present challenges. We're constantly improving, but perfect replication in every scenario is a tough nut to crack.
We use state-of-the-art AI translation models, which provide a high degree of accuracy for general-purpose content. However, for highly specialized, technical, or legally sensitive documents, we always recommend having a human professional review the translation. AI is a powerful tool, but it's not infallible.
Translation
We support translation to and from over 50 languages, including common ones like English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic, as well as many others. The full list is available on our translation page.
Technical
Currently, we exclusively support PDF files. Make sure your file is a standard PDF and not a scanned image saved as a PDF. We aim to support other formats like .docx in the future.
Our service requires PDFs with selectable text. It does not perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) on scanned documents or recognize handwritten text. For best results, ensure your PDF source is text-based. Complex graphics can also impact layout preservation.
Most translations complete quickly. However, very large documents (many pages) or documents with extremely complex layouts, numerous high-resolution images, or embedded non-standard fonts can take longer to process and translate. If a job seems stuck, please contact support.
Our service provides you with a translated PDF file. You cannot edit the document directly within our platform after translation. However, you can download the translated PDF and use any standard PDF editing software to make further modifications if needed.
Billing
Each page translated typically costs a certain number of credits. Simpler text-based pages cost less, while pages with complex elements like intricate tables, dense graphics, or many small text boxes might require more credits. You'll see an estimated credit cost before you approve any translation job.
Unused, purchased top-up credits can be refunded within 14 days of the purchase date. Subscription credits are part of your monthly plan and are non-refundable, but you can cancel your subscription at any time to avoid future charges. Please contact support for refund requests on top-up credits.
Yes, each translation job, even for the same document (e.g., to a different language or a re-attempt), is processed as a new job and will consume credits based on its content and page count.
Security & Privacy
We take your data security and privacy very seriously. All documents are encrypted both in transit (when you upload them) and at rest (while stored on our servers for processing). Translated documents are automatically deleted from our system 24 hours after completion. We do not share your data with third parties.
Service
Our core focus is on maintaining the original document's layout and formatting during translation. While many services can translate text, preserving the visual integrity of a PDF is a significant challenge we are dedicated to tackling. It's not always 100% perfect, especially with highly intricate designs, but we strive to provide a much better starting point than basic text extraction.
Troubleshooting
First, check your internet connection. Ensure your PDF is not corrupted, is under our current size limit (e.g., 50MB), and is a standard PDF format (not password-protected or an image-only PDF). Try using a different web browser or clearing your browser's cache. If the problem persists, please contact support with the filename and any error messages you see.
Most translations complete within a few minutes. However, very large documents or those with highly complex layouts can take longer (e.g., 15-20 minutes). You can check the status on your 'My Jobs' page. If a job has not progressed for an extended period or has failed, please contact our support team with the Job ID for assistance.
Ensure you have a stable internet connection and that your browser is not blocking downloads. Try right-clicking the download link and selecting 'Save Link As...'. If you receive an error or the file is corrupted, please contact support with the Job ID.

Layout preservation is a complex task. If you encounter a document where the layout isn't preserved to your satisfaction, especially if it's a significant deviation, please contact our support team with the Job ID. While we can't guarantee perfect results for every file, feedback helps us improve.
