A. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your email address and name. Authentication is handled by our identity provider, Auth0, Inc. ("Auth0"). We receive a user ID and basic profile information from Auth0 upon successful authentication.
- Document Data: You provide us with PDF documents that you wish to translate. These documents are processed solely for the purpose of providing the translation service you request.
- Payment Information: If you purchase credits or subscribe to our Services, payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor, FastSpring (Bright Market, LLC). We do not directly collect or store your full credit card details. FastSpring provides us with transaction confirmations, subscription status, and customer identifiers, which we use for billing and account management.
- Communications: If you contact us directly (e.g., via email for support or privacy inquiries), we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage Information (Job Metadata): When you use our Services, we automatically collect metadata about your translation jobs. This includes the original and target languages, page count, approximate file size, processing time, and status of the job (e.g., success, failure). This does NOT include the content of your documents.
- Log and Device Data: We collect log files and device information when you access and use our Services. This information may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. This data is used for security monitoring, service improvement, and troubleshooting.
- Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and administer our website, gather usage data on our Services, and improve your experience. While we take all reasonable precautions, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
B. Data Retention
- Document Data: Uploaded PDF documents and their translated versions are automatically and permanently deleted from our active servers 24 hours after the translation job is completed or fails. We do not keep long-term archives of your document content.
- Account Information: We retain your account information (name, email, user ID from Auth0) as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
- Job Metadata and Usage Logs: We retain anonymized or aggregated job metadata and usage logs for service improvement, analytics, and security purposes for up to 12 months. This data does not contain your document content.
We do not sell your personal information. We only share your information with third parties in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We engage trusted third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Services ("Service Providers"), such as:
- Auth0, Inc.: For user authentication and account management. Auth0 processes your login credentials and provides us with your user ID and basic profile.
- FastSpring (Bright Market, LLC): For processing payments for credits and subscriptions. FastSpring handles your payment card information directly.
- OpenAI: For providing AI translation capabilities. Document text content is sent to OpenAI's API for translation processing. OpenAI processes this data according to their API terms and data usage policies, which prohibit them from using your data to train their models when accessed via API.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency), to protect and defend our rights or property, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services, protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public, or protect against legal liability.
- Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

The content of your PDF documents is processed only for the translation service you request. While document content is shared with OpenAI for translation processing, it is not used by them for any other purpose beyond providing the translation service.

- The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
